EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION SYSTEM

Exhaust Gas Recirculation reincarnates a part of the exhaust gas to re-enter the intake gas pipe to reduce the combustion temperature, and reduce the generated NOx.

Thanks to the reception of common rail technology, PM particles are decreased much when spraying high pressure fuel into the combustion chamber. On the other hand, high-pressure fuel injection leads to complete combustion, and NOx is increased.

To address this relationship, modern diesel engines are integrated cooling EGR systems. In the condition of the engine operating normally, there is no or little amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas. In order to load intake air into the combustion chamber, the combustion rate can be reduced and the combustion temperature is also reduced by the low rate of oxygen in the intake air.
